My website is suspended or down. Is it a billing issue, did I miss an invoice, what do I do? |
There are several possible options here:
- If you go to your site and see the Acorn Host logo and a "This site is suspended" page, then it is nearly always a billing issue.
- If you see nothing, i.e. the connection times out, it is usually one of two things:
- Your IP has been blocked by our servers or
- Your domain name has expired completely and has been deleted.
- If you see a page that is different than your homepage, but does not have the Acorn Host logo on it, it may be the default page of your domain registrar when a domain is expiring but has not yet been deleted.
Case 1: Billing issue
First, please visit our Invoice Lookup Tool to find your invoice and pay it. You may also want to check your Spam or Junk Mail folder for the original invoice, especially if you have an email at Yahoo.
Second, submit a ticket to Billing to let us know your current email address if we don't have it. We might have an old one on file and that's where the emails were going. If you haven't updated your email with us, the invoice will be sent to the email you used when you signed up.
Case 2: Your IP is blocked
If you cannot access anything at your domain, even the suspended page, it's possible that our firewall has blocked you for too many failed login attempts. To fix this, first visit Whatismyip.com and get your IP address. Then submit a ticket to Technical Support asking them if this IP address has been blocked from the server.
Case 3: Your domain is expired or is near expiring
You need to contact your domain registrar or pay your bill with them. |
